Dear T.D.,
You can and must help Save
St Luke's Cancer Hospital in Rathgar
1. St Luke's is the national radiotherapy centre.
2. It is the only dedicated cancer hospital in the country.
3. The therapeutic surroundings & accommodation are
unique & vital for cancer patients.
4. Over €20 million has been raised for St Luke's Hospital
by staff, patients, their families and friends. That goodwill
will be lost if it closes.
5. The Midlands & many other areas will have no centre of
excellence. St Luke's is already a national centre of
excellence & should continue to be the vital centre to
patients from all over the country.
6. St Luke's is a public facility with equality of access. It is
to be replaced by a Public/Private Partnership hospital in
an already overloaded facility at St James' Hospital. This
will threaten equality of access and quality of service
necessary for all cancer patients.
7. The People Want St Lukes to stay!
