3 shell gas stations blocked today!
this morning 40 activists blocked 3 different shell gas stations in the city of Ghent, Belgium.
The action was in solidarity with Rossport and the people of the Niger-delta in Nigeria and against Shell.
Round about 7 A.M. 40 activist from different groups (anarchist collective Ghent-groenfront-earth first!-friend of the earth-youth association for nature and environment) started blocking the gas stations. They didn't let anyone pass to tank gasoline. when the cops came, they made the compromise to let the people pass that really wanted to tank. Fortunatly almost no cars passed because the activist could easily convince them with flyers to boycott shell today.
with the action the activist wanted to hurt the shell company economically and to bring their crimes in the media (even the national television came!).
The daily crimes the Shell company commits worldwide should not stay without a reaction. today we showed them we will answer their disgusting activities with direct action.
solidarity is a weapon!
