Americans elect first president with Offally ancestry![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() First BIFFO President seen as major development The United States of America took a giant step in the last week in the field of civil rights and human development when a man with Offaly ancestry was chosen to lead the nation. While there is no legal bar against people from Offaly or their descendants holding high office in the U.S., many were surprised that voters were able to overcome the widespread prejudice against the county. The current taoiseach of Ireland is of course from Offaly, but he was not elected by a popular vote, and current thinking is he will be removed from office at the next election, or as soon as the voters get a chance. That protocol shit is confusing for us minions n subjects. And the pantry empty after the sub-prime visits, its just like old times.
Thanks be to the good gad we never hocked the forelocks. At least we'll have something to tug to keep us from fiddling while they inspect our sorry ranks. I suppose I'll have to go down and sweep the runways at Shannon meself, just to make sure there's no natives clogging up the rendition systems. My, but the Oirish are SO reliable in a pickle. And the luvly watercress they distribute on their Paddy's day.
No doubt they'll tell us its because we're worth it.
Well I'm offally happy to hear he's coming home.
To Tipperary.
Another Big Ignorant F****r From Offally?
Crackin' - great song & singer too!
This is the first thing that's made me laugh out loud all week!
Gee whiz. It's like reading Ireland's Own weekly schmalz magazine - the week wouldn't be the same without it.
Uh oh, were the nationalists right all along? :o
