The global financial meltdown has meant the collapse of the world's biggest investment banks in the US has left stock markets reeling.

Chris Harman is a Marxist economist who has published many books explaining Marx's theory of capitalist crisis- His books include Explaining the crisis, How Marxism works , The Economics of the Madhouse and Revolution in the 21st Century

The financial turmoil has left millions of people worrying about their jobs, homes, savings and pensions.
Our leaders have no solution to the crisis because they are unwilling to challenge the priorities of capitalism- a system based on profit, competition and war.
