"The Iron Wall" Documentary

On Sunday 12th October 2008, the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign is proud to present a screening of the acclaimed documentary film ‘The Iron Wall’ in the Mayo County Library in Castlebar. The film will be followed by a question and answers session with its director Mohammad Alatar. Mohammad

The film – which focuses on the encroachment of illegal Israeli settlers in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and the effects of Israel’s wall on the people of the West Bank – has been highly praised, including by former US President Jimmy Carter who called it “the best description of the [Israeli] barrier, its routing and impact”. Hillel Schenker, editor of the Palestine-Israel Journal recommended it to “anyone concerned with the quest for a just and peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict”.
