Candle light vigil will be held for Tibetans on 20th & 21st June, 2008 at St. Stephen's Green (Opposite Shopping Centre).
Since the Tibetan National Uprising Day on 10th March, 2008, hundreds of Tibetans have been killed for taking part in peaceful protests in Tibet (TAR and all Tibetan areas in Sichuan, Qinghai, Gansu, Yunnan provinces), hundreds of Tibetans who are wounded by the Chinese army are denied medical attention and thousands have been arrested and their condition and fate remains unknown. At present, many Tibetans are being tortured and arrested for refusing to denounce His Holiness the Dalai Lama during the "Patriotic re-education" campaign throughout Tibet. Olympic Torch relay through Tibet at this time will very likely provoke more protests which might result in the worst consequences for the Tibetans.
