Because of the ongoing struggle of the Irish people for freedom we urge everyone to have a look at the new homepage of the supporters of RSF in Central Europe http://www.irish-solidarity.at.tf and read the voice of the Republican Movement in German. We endeavor to be the nucleus that rebuilds the Irish solidarity movement, to help inform about real situation in Ireland and the lies transported in loyalist, British and bourgeois propaganda around the globe. We will be working on generating publicity on Irish national sovereignty.

For more than ten years we have been hearing about the so called Irish 'Peace Process'. We see former Republicans now being administrators of British Rule in Ireland. The Irish question left the headlines of the international media. We are now told the war is over. The murals in Derry and other areas of the six counties are repainted with peace doves. After 800 years of war against British occupation “we have now achieved peace forever”, we are told by the Provisional leadership that misuses the name of Sinn Féin and the Republican Movement.

The truth is very different! We will have none of this dishonest talk! The Proclamation read in front of the GPO in Dublin on Easter 1916 says: “We declare the right of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland, and to the unfettered control of Irish destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible. The long usurpation of that right by a foreign people and government has not extinguished the right, nor can it ever be extinguished except by the destruction of the Irish people.“ Yet 1916 is unfinished business as Des Dalton from Republican Sinn Féin, the oldest party in Ireland, explained in his Easter speech. Neither the national nor the social question has been solved.

The broad international solidarity movement was very important for the fight for Irish freedom during the 1970s and 1980s, particularly during the hunger strikes. As we said the war is not over, Ireland is still divided and the people on both sides of the border suffer under social and national oppression, the Irish people still need our international solidarity.

This is why the activists and supporters of Republican Sinn Féin have now launched a German website. The domain-address is www.irish-solidarity.at.tf . With the homepage and our work in Central Europe we support the fight of the true Republican Movement that didn’t sell out to Stormont, Westminster and Leinster House. We support the fight of the Irish people for freedom, unity and equality. We support the Republican prisoners in Maghaberry and Portlaoise and their five demands.

We endeavor to be the nucleus that rebuilds the Irish solidarity movement, to help inform about real situation in Ireland and the lies transported in loyalist, British and bourgeois propaganda around the globe. We will be working on generating publicity on Irish national sovereignty.

Racism, inequality and occupation are on the political agenda in Ireland. We believe that the Irish question is an international question. The fight for Irish freedom is part of the world wide anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist struggle for a better world, a world in which all people can live in dignity and peace – a socialist world.

Our goal is a 32 county socialist republic as part of a wider Celtic League including Scottland, Wales, Cornwall, Bretagne and the Isle of Man if their people want. We think we can achieve this through a nationwide equally elected constitutional assembly after a full British withdrawal from Ireland. This strategy is outlined in our program Éire Nua (A New Ireland).

Ten years after the Good Friday Agreement nothing was achieved but former Republicans acting a administrators of British rule in Ireland. Nothing has been solved! Instead fighting for a unified and sovereign Ireland they are trying to normalize British rule.

Because of the ongoing struggle of the Irish people we urge you to have a look at our homepage www.irish-solidarity.at.tf and read the voice of the Republican Movement in German.

Get in contact with us per our e-mail irish-solidarity@gmx.net and buy Saoirse from us. Saoirse and other publications by the Irish Freedom Press are now available in various bookshops in Austria. Those can be found on our homepage.
