A pro-Israel pressure group is orchestrating a secret, long-term campaign to infiltrate the popular online encyclopedia Wikipedia to rewrite Palestinian history, pass off crude propaganda as fact, and take over Wikipedia administrative structures to ensure these changes go either undetected or unchallenged.

On March 13th they called for 10 volunteers and apparently got 50, who they directed to another "secretive" [but not closed] email list.

That second email list was (& is) a Google hosted discussion group.

".........Among the list members was "Isra Guy," who Electronic Intifada identified as Wikipedia user "Zeq," a longtime contributor to Israeli-Palestinian conflict articles......."
& so my newsworthy update to this story is that since 18h30 GMT the 23rd of the 4th month, (Jordi day of Books & Roses the patron aint of Catalonia) Mr Zeq has been removed from wikipedia for one year.
You can read the whole thing & plausibly trace the process here :-

You might also like to know Mr Zeq is the owner of this email - zeqzeq2@yahoo.com which verifies the Electronic Intifida allegations.

The importance of impartiality of encyclopedia pages such as Wikipedia on subjects such as the Israel / Palestinian conflict should not escape those who seek any of the supposed solutions & think those solutions rely on a well-informed public. Which is why there is as little propaganda value for the IPSC as there is for Wikipedia in keeping the news "fresh".
Accordingly the report on "Wikinews" which told this story will be deleted tomorrow. Unless of course someone has enough of an agenda to keep it alive.

Anybody who ever did go to the likes of Wikipedia in the past or continues to do so now, in order to form an opinion on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is a dead loss and should stick well clear of things they dont understand. Wikipedia is a consistent source of pro-Israel Bias and will continue to be so 100% regardless of the outcome of this "revelation" .
