The anniversary of Zimbabwe’s independence comes at a time of great turmoil in that country. Amnesty International, Trócaire, Christian Aid and the Association of European Parliamentarians for Africa have come together in organizing an ecumenical prayer service for peace and justice in Zimbabwe.
The service will be followed by an event to mark Zimbabwean independence with food, music and guest speakers, including from the Zimbabwean community in Ireland.

Church of Ireland Archbishop of Dublin the Most Revd Dr John Neill will officiate at the service.
Barry Andrews TD will be speaking at the Independence Day celebration along with other guest speakers

The Independence Day celebration will take place at Central Hotel, Exchequer Street, Dublin 2
