Childhood Obesity - A Sizeable Problem

The aim of this meeting is to increase awareness and look at the facts and myths surrounding childhood obesity. Speakers wil look at prevention and treatment, and discuss the roles of physical activity and nutrition.
This meeting forms part of the RCPI Public Meeting Series "Promoting A Healthy Nation", aimed at informing members of the public on key healthcare issues and to provide an opportunity for the public to communicate their concerns to the College.
Mr Ray D'Arcy will chair the meeting and the speakers are Dr Edna Roche, Consultant Endocrinologist, National Children's Hospital, Tallaght and Senior Lecturer at the University of Dublin, Trinity College, Prof Niall Moyna, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Science and Health, Dublin City University, and Ms Ursula O'Dwyer, Consultant Dietician, Health Promotion Unit, Department of Health and Children.
