Events of Note

Rathmines Festival 2008 has events taking place from Monday 14th to Sunday 20th April. The program is extensive and includes cultural, artistic, sporting and literary events. It is aimed at all ages.

This year's line-up of events is staggering ranging from Puca puppets to Salsa and hiphop workshops, from reiki to Shirley Templebar.

A selection of note would include a guided tour of Cathal Brugha Barracks, a reading by Anthony Cronin, a nature walk with Eanna Ní Lamhna, the Bollywood movie “Namastey London” and an angel workshop. With talk about a formal link being established between the cities Dublin and Nantes, there is a few related events taking place: an exhibition from Nantes, and on Friday 18th April in Rathmines parish church the excellent "Pays Blanc Pays Noir " choir will give a recital. There's also a notable irish language component to the festival with a chance to see "An Triail" and classes to learn cúpla focail to boot.
