Ethical Development Action (EDA) are launching as a new Cork-based development organisation
Ethical Development Action (EDA) are launching as a new Cork-based development organisation this coming Monday at 6.30pm in the Victoria Hotel. EDA would like to invite anyone interested in global development issues to join us for an interesting evening with Senator Dan Boyle, Gertrude Cotter (Nasc Co-ordinator) and TD Kathleen Lynch, fairly traded refreshments and world music.
Ethical Development Action (EDA) is a recently-formed, Cork-based, development education group. It is a membership-led organisation of volunteers, comprising of development professionals in food security and emergency relief, labour rights, gender issues, and human trafficking, health and disease, agri-food and biofuel policies and fairtrade, including university lecturers and students, immigrants and others interested in development issues.
EDA is being established to facilitate the ongoing volunteer-led activism in Cork which its members have been involved in over the past 20 years. In particular, it will focus on addressing issues of global inequality through the promotion of awareness, campaigning and education on the ethical components of a range of development issues.
