Germany drops extradition request of CIA agents

A munich court had issued an extradition request for 13 CIA agents over a notorious abduction of a German citizen Khaled al-Masri.

According to reports the German Justice Ministry refused to pass on the extradition request in order to avoid open conflict with the US authorities. Essentially the German government has ignored its own courts and have accepted the abduction and torture of one of its citizens by the US.
