Dublin Shell to Sea are hosting a meeting to organise building for September the 14th in Seomra Spraoi, 4 Mary's Abbey at 7.00pm on Tuesday the 21st of August.
A national mobilisation for a mass sitdown protest at the refinery at Bellanaboy has been called for the morning of Friday 14 September. This is a crucial event for the Shel to Sea camapign and we need to do everything we can to mobilise as many people as possible to it.
This means making sure as many people as possible from different groups as well as unaffiliated people come along. It also means that we should organise a series of protests, publicity stunts etc in the run up to it to help build publicity for it and develop a momentum etc.
This requires quite an amount of organisation and different groups and people involved for us to achieve the best possible mobilisation on the 14 th. To that end, we have called a meeting next Tuesday 21 August at 7pm in Seomra Spraoi to organise building for the sitdown protest on 14 September. We are appealing to all the groups who support Shell to Sea to send representatives and others who have been involved in Shell to Sea over the past while to try to come along so that we can do our best to ensure Friday 14 September is a success.
Hope to see you there,
Dublin Shell to Sea
