'Airfield Gardens Hosts Shakespeare Comedy

Wonderful comedy, bawdy songs, mistaken identities, star crossed lovers all in the great mix of Shakespeares most popular comedy 'Twelfth Night' prsented in Airfield Gardens, Dundrum from Wednesday June 27th. Enjoy the magical outfoor setting, bring along your rugs and picnic basket. For seating phone 01 2956015. Tickets are €12. Family tickets available.

Twelfth Night is essentially a celebration of romantic love and can be viewed as a traditional romantic comedy. The play has many of the elements common to Elizabethan romantic comedy, including the devices of mistaken identity, separated twins, and gender-crossing disguise, and its plot revolves around overcoming obstacles to "true" love. This is a sparkling production directed by Bernard Doyle and a pleasant way to celebrate midsummer.
