The media alludes to the fact that Ireland is the only country in the EU not to have
laws on the trafficking of human beings and are 'dragging our feet in the water'.

There is severe criticism of the treatment of kids with psychiatric care in this country.

The government repsonse to Violence Against Women is called 'COSC', it was initiated
by the Dept of Justice precisely two weeks before the instigation of the election campaign.
it is a multi-millionaire euro programme which is being challenged by the NGO's
who want its remit published and its work to be stopped.

Victim support is reduced and there has been a severe lack of infrastructural support
to the area of sexual violence.
