Ha Joon Chang is an economist following the historical school of thought from Cambridge University. He is most widely known for his book "Kicking Away the Ladder" in which he describes the attempts of the global north to prevent the global south reaching a similar state of development by preaching open market policies.
His talk is entitled "Lazy Japanese and Thieving Germans : Does culture matter for economic development"
