MiCRA is holding a fundraising pub quiz on May 2nd in the Teachers' Club, Parnell St, Dublin 1.
We are having a pub quiz to raise some money for MiCRA, a migrant-led
organization that promotes civil rights and equality of treatment for
migrants.
It would be great if you could make it, either individually or as a
team of 4. If you can, please let me know and I'll book a table for
you.
We hope to see you on May 2nd.
Date: 2nd May
Time: 7.30
Venue: The Teachers Club, 36 Parnell Square, D1

As far as I know, the group isn't connected to any other organisation but has some relationship with the Overseas Nurses Branch of the INO. They held a very good information session on the Employment Permits Act 2006 for migrant health workers some time ago which I attended along with about 40 other nurses. At the information session we agreed to hold a big rally in the Summer similar to the migrant rights marches in the States to highlight the contribution that migrants are making to the economy here and to look for better rights. Not sure if I can make the quiz as I'm on shift work but I would encourage others to go along and help raise money to organise the campaign rally.
