The images and story about the Rosette Nebula are in today's Guardian
and include all the technical language regarding the birth of stars.
[including the Bok Globules]
The images are very arresting and only published in black and white
in the dailies.
A bit of the science :-" The image the most detailed taken , reveals the red
glow of hydrogen in the Rosette nebula, a vast cloud of cosmic detritus
left over from dying stars and cataclysmic explosions drifting in space
4,500 light years from earth...."
The image was digitally 'stitched' over 200 exposures.
