Free-form discussion video - Segment 5

The fifth segment of the Free-form Video Series has been competed. In this segment hosts Brian Wardlow and Pat Williams review past segments and bring viewers up to date on the ongoing protest by Irish Republican political prisoner for political status.

The also discussed how viewers should become more aware of the plight faced, not only by the prisoners, but also by CABHAIR activists. Cabhair is a Dublin based charitable group which helps alleviate some of the financial burden faced by the prisoners dependants.

Also mentioned is the land grab by the Westmeath County Council, which is being fought valiantly by area residents who have formed the Westmeath Cowpark Users Group. Mags Glennon, a spokesperson for the group had informed viewers, in a earlier segment, of the plight faced by landless farmers who are being abandoned by the powers that be in Leinster House.

A general discussion of Eire Nua follows, in which a basic description of what Eire Nua is, and how individuals can make themselves more aware by utilizing the NIFC website. Every third segment will focus on an aspect of Eire Nua in depth. The segment closes with the hosts congratulating the honorees of the up coming Michael Flannery Testimonial Dinner Awards.
