nili is a recording artist from vancouver british columbia where pacific storms pound sharp coastal mountains and drain into the fertile fraser valley. nili rides these storms, sows seeds and attempts to harvest a bounty. mayday is a temporary work, matching old guitar recordings and stream-of-consciousness melodies improvised with ambient streetscape recordings and documentation of a police riot in dublin. nili's works are reflections, little jokes, and are not intended to portray an accurate representation of reality. with the exception of voice samples on track eight, all of the sounds on this recording were either produced directly by nili or captured on audio recording in the public realm. nili's next recording should appear when the rain settles.
