Another Aboriginal Death in Custody: Killer Cop Not to be Charged!

The killing of local aboriginal man Mulruniji by Snr. Sgt. Chris Hurley on Palm Island, Queensland, that resulted in a spontaneous riot and deployment of paramilitary police will not lead to the charging of the police officer concerned. In the history of the state of Queensland that has seen many aboriginal deaths in custody not one police officer has ever faced charges. This killing was captured in the watchhouse CCTV, the coroner put the cause of death squarely on Snr. Sgt. Hurley.
