The protest has been organised by the Republican Prisoners' Action Group (RPAG) in support of the Republican POWs in Maghaberry Gaol who have been on protest for almost six months against the appalling conditions in which they are held.
The POWs have been on protest since June 19th, with five stated demands.
The main speaker will be Cathleen Knowles McGuirk, Vice-President, Republican Sinn Féin. Protests in support of the POWs and their demand for full political status will have then been held in each of the Six Occupied Counties. The RPAG calls on everyone to stand behind the POWs and reject the failed British attempts at criminalisation of the Republican POWs and, by extension, the Cause of Irish Freedom.
