COALITION TO ABOLISH THE FUR TRADE

DEATH COFFIN AND PALL BEARERS COME TO TOWN

WHEN : 1.30 on 5th December 2006.

WHERE: BARNARDO'S FUR SHOP. (Top of Grafton Street.)

An ‘open coffin of death’ bearing the bloodied skins of Dublin’s Fur Trade victims will be carried shoulder high by cloaked and masked anti fur activists on Tuesday next.

As a mark of respect to the dead animals whose stolen skins are being displayed and sold by Barnardo’s Furriers, the cortege will pause outside this shop to bear witness to the thousands of animals skinned, anally electrocuted and gassed for vanity and profit.

Activists will wear death masks and black cloaks carrying the coffin.

The message is clear…. Fur Is Murder.

At 2pm the procession will move off…

Beginning with Barnardo furriers (lower Grafton street), then to
Brown Thomas (Grafton street) then onto Rohu furriers in Castle Market and
on to Sydney Vards furriers in Sth Anne Street.

DEATH COMES TO TOWN IN A VISUAL AND STARK DISPLAY TO GET OUR MESSAGE OUT THERE TO PASSERS –BY

….DONT WEAR ANIMAL SKINS- YOU ARE WEARING DEATH.

Nice one Caft. Very original and no doubt will be very effective . After all, the fur in Dublins' shops and on peoples' backs is nothing other than dead animals and to stage an event that so clearly highlights this is very worthy. I think the whole 'funeral' idea is a great one, the poor murdered animals should be remembered, after all, they paid for peoples' profits and vanity with the most valuable thing in the world - their lives.

well is that the way you go about it telling shops to stop selling their furs. Its not the shops fault it's the business u cannot make them shut down and so many people on planet earth loves furs like me , in the long run it wont happen .
check out the fur communities that exist and it will give you a better idea of what is happening around you.
