Dublin artist, Tony Crosbie’s exhibition, Wasteland, in partnership with Amnesty International
Dublin artist, Tony Crosbie’s exhibition, Wasteland, in partnership with Amnesty International, takes place at the Broadstone Studios and Gallery, Hendron Building 36/40 Upper Dominick Street, Dublin 7.
Extreme and disturbing images which speak about the artist’s ability to cope with existing in a world rife with atrocities and pain, line the walls of the Broadstone in the format of large unframed painted acrylic cloths and graphite drawings.
Crosbie’s internal struggle, splashed across the canvasses, implore the viewer to engage with the works, which talk of social injustice, human rights violations, the brutality of wars, and religious and political oppression.
The exhibition is free and runs from November 10th to November 19th, 2006. It’s open from Mon – Sun, 11am-5pm.
