A clondalkin branch of a new political organisation, People before Profit is to be established next week.
The new nationwide association which stems from the Rossport dispute in Mayo - is holding its inaugural meeting in the Waterside pub on October 24.
Gino Kenny, the groups representative in Clondalkin said the organisation is perfect for people who do not wish to be allied with traditional political parties.
He said: "It's in the early stages in Clondalkin, but anyone we tell about it is responding well. Its perfect for people who want to join a group thats not part of the normal parties.
"People before profit was established as an umbrella group by different people across Ireland who wanted to join up against the liberal agenda, who want to see public hospitals, not private ones, etc"
Mr Kenny revealed that he is to run on the upcoming general election under the mantle of the PBP movement.
According to Donal Mc Fhearraigh, a represetative of the national movement, the group "was formally established in October 2005 by workers from a variety of local campaigns.
"Its aim is to reverse neo-liberal policies which place wealth creation for the few over the welfare of communities in Ireland."
People Before Profit will meet at 8pm on October 24.
