Out of date but worth a look... Read it if you need some positive inspiration in the face of a world gone mad.
This is very old, but it’s great. It’s a sarcastic note of gratitude to GW Bush in the month that the US led an invasion of Iraq, written by the ‘world’s most popular novelist’ Paulo Coehlo. It somehow manages to put across an optimism in the face of a great and imminent tragedy.
My favourite bit:
“Thank you for making us feel once more that though our words may not be heard, they are at least spoken – this will make us stronger in the future...
"Thank you, because, without you, we would not have realised our own ability to mobilise. It may serve no purpose this time, but it will doubtless be useful later on."
