North West Spanish Civil War Project

Honouring the International Brigades

An information evening with talk, by Dr Emmet O'Connor

and discussion and film on the Spanish Civil War by the
North West Spanish Civil War Project.

The project aims to create a permanent memorial in Derry's city centre in tribute to the North West brigadistas who in 1936/38 volunteered to defend the Spanish Republic against Franco, taking a stance in the fight for democracy and against fascism.
