Circus threaten to slash activist with Stanley knife.

As organised, 17 Members of the Alliance for Animal Rights met in Booterstown for a demonstration at the circus SYDNEY that assaulted two protesters earlier during this week.
The first activist to turn up was threatened with being slashed as he quietly just walked past the circus. However soon after two activists withessed a guy of Indian nationality going into the circus only to be chased out by three men weilding stanley knives. the mans car was kicked and damaged.

Gardai were called by him and went in to the circus.When we saw 2 Gardai cars arrive we set up our leafletting and banners .Gardai left with the Indian guy having obviously taken statements etc.When 7-30 arrived we realised that only 10 people had gone in to the big top. No cars outside at all and the elephant trainer Alexander Scholl (who attacked the two during the week) was livid.The circus was like a ghost town.!
Possibly the media during the week had put people off, we hope so.
However the campaign to help Max and all the other animals held by these thugs continues.

Jump To Comment: 1there were 3 activists on Saturday as well, they handed out leaflets for about 2 hours but due to the minimal audience (of the circus) they decided to leave back to the city
