Carrickmines Judgement in after Third Delay.
Judgement will be given in the Supreme Court Appeal taken by Dominic Dunne
in relation to the constitutionality of orders given by the Minister for the Environment
on the Carrickmine's Castle Complex.
The last delay on the judgement issue occured on the 15th/16th of Feburary 2006.
The day that Minister Roche launched the Planning and Development(Strategic Infrastructure)
Bill 2006.
The Judgement in this case would directly affect the 38 sites currently being excavated at
the Tara complex. These are in line with the proposed M3 route and legislation as it stands
would allow for ministerial orders to demolish, cover or remove these sites to allow the road
extend through the archaeological remains.
