Eminent poet visits Galway courtesy of Western Writers' Centre
Eminent poet MAURICE SCULLY, a native of Dublin whose work is central to an understanding of the diversity of new and challenging contemporay Irish poetry, reads in Galway.
As part of the Project '06 literary programme, prominent Dublin-born poet Maurice Scully will read from his work at Galway Town Hall Theatre on Friday, July 28th at 6pm. Admission is free. "I have known Maurice for many years, and his work is different from contemporary mainstream Irish poetry, challenging, imaginative, redolent of European poetry. I'm delighted to invite him here. "
The reading is sponsored by Poetry Ireland.
