Fiction Clinic June meeting

The next meeting of the Fiction Clinic, led by Susan Millar DuMars, will take place on Saturday, June 10th 2-5pm at 3, Carbry Road, Newcastle, Galway. Parking is available. For further details contact Susan on 087-9428540 or Kevin Higgins on 087-6431748.

Anyone writing fiction is welcome – please bring 1-4 pages of work for feedback, with 5 photocopies so other members can read along. If you’d like a longer piece critiqued, it’d be helpful if you could forward the piece to Susan at s_dumars@hotmail.com, at least a week before the meeting, and she will forward the piece to other members. E-mailed pieces should not exceed 10 pages. The cost is €15/session.

The Clinic is also a place to get ideas for new fiction, to hear about new writers and discuss issues around writing. Last September, the Fiction Clinic Chapbook, ‘Stories From The Half-Lit Hours’ – featuring stories by participants - was published by Over The Edge, and launched in Galway City Library.
