Irish workers give political analysis
This is a short movie hosted on the Prelinger Archives. It contains footage of Irish workers commenting on the role of money and corporations in the 1976 presidential election. It also shows Ron Kovic being refused entry to the RollingStone fundraiser for Carter.
Sequence:
1. Irish workers comment about Democrats being good for working people
2. Carter's son talks about marijuana possession decriminilisation, being on the campaign trail with Dad and the celebrities
3. Ron Kovic is refused entry to the Democratic convention. He points ou that this is exactly what happened to him at the previous Republican convention (when he, a Vietnam veteran, was spat upon and called a traitor. This is the only recorded instance of a veteran being spat upon -- not by anti-war protestors as is often claimed by the current jingoists, but by Republicans).
