So Shell/Statoil/Marathon have to dismantle 3 km of pipe and Noel Dempsey claims that they will "keep a closer " eye on Shell in future!! They are supposed to be keeping a close eye on them already.

I heard him today with his nonsense about this project being of national interest! What national interest is being served here??

He also said that this project was "very important nationally" and "very important to Ireland as a nation". He did not specify how or why!! These are some questions I would like answered.

He says that since the permissions have been given to the project already that he cannot "reasonably delay" such project. Who does he think he is? A Shell employee??

Let us remind Mr. Dempsey that he does not work for Shell but for Ireland. It is us the Irish who gave him his votes - God forgive us - and it will be us who will give them to someone else next time round!

This campaign must be continued and these Mayo families must be supported in every way we can.

Shell, Glan Amuigh nó Glan Amach!!!
