Action on Dublin Bus today.

Taken from RTE:

Dublin Bus has confirmed that its services are experiencing disruption because of unofficial industrial action at the Harristown Depot in north Dublin.

A spokesperson said that there are no buses running on the 27 or 27B routes.

Services are down to around 50% on a number of other routes servicing the Finglas and Ballymun areas.

Workers are staging an unofficial picket at the new Harristown Depot near Ballymun over the withdrawal of free EasyPass toll bridge passes from some staff who were transferred there from other locations in the city six months ago.

The workers were issued with passes for the first six months of the transfer that are due to expire on 30 April. The company has written to the staff seeking the return of the passes.

Dublin Bus also confirmed that it has written to a number of workers warning them that the unofficial industrial action is illegal, and that the company may take legal and disciplinary action against them.
