48 Vermont Towns Vote Against Iraq War

Vermont has a traditional of annual town assemblies that dates from the American revolution. Anti-war activists tabled motions against the Iraq war at these assemblies last night. 48 town meetings voted last night to condemn the war in Iraq and to call on political leaders to bring home the state's National Guard. We speak with an organizer with the Iraq Resolution Campaign that coordinated the town meetings.

I shouldn have said this appears to be out of 54 towns. 3 voted against and 3 decided not to take the resolutions.
