or should that be "clones alert"?

Hi ye all, we're in clone alert ... again.

As you may be aware Prof. Wilmut the mad scientist of the UK who cloned Dolly the Sheep has just been given a license to clone human embryos which will not be allowed develop beyond 16 days to investigate a therapy for the desiese that David Niven star of such movies as "the curse of the Evil Pink panther" (1983), Guns of Darkness (1962), The Elusive Pimpernel (1950) and Magnificent Doll (1946) died from in Château-d'Oex, Switzerland.

Professor Wilmut is the mad scientist you know the name and reputation of.

Just like the mad scientist who in december presented a cloned a dead cat called "nicky" for its doting owner in Texas.

Here's one you mightn't have heard about-

Kim Jong-hwan, professor at Korea's Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, has unveiled software which creates 14 artificial chromosomes that he claims gives the code the traits of an individual. The software will be installed on a robot within three months.

In tests the chromosomes within the software, which ultimately could allow the robots to 'breed', caused different reactions to external stimuli in different software systems. The code is modelled on human DNA, although as a single not double helix.
