The Blanket: It gets better

category international | worker & community struggles and protests | other press author Monday September 20, 2004 14:56author by The Blanket reader

The Blanket update includes, Davy Carlin on NIPSA Dispute, Mackers on Scargill, Mc Cann on Pat Finucane case , O Comain on Ulster Britishness, and Laim O Ruairc, on Waste.

That meeting on Scargill was very well attended and I believe Mackers gives a fair report of it although he has a dig at the SWP. Worth a read, as are the other items, I also think that the satire and pictures are getting better over time, but thats just my opinion. Keep it up!

Good to see that Maccers has survived the SWP attack on the blanket and on his integrity. Standing up for Womens Rights is not racist.

As so persons know {who would be interested} I will be writing on the Blanket on a regular basis

As sent to networks -

'The Blanket was updated yesterday with also an article I have done {I am to write here regularly now on in, again}.

Indeed the Blanket was the place of my ‘Writers birth’ which afforded me a window in those earliest of my activism years {where some others would not} - to put out my ever developing thoughts.’

I will be writing in-depth and specific analysis on many issues both local and international.. This from Anti racism to Anti war, from the Irish peace process through to various specific local agitations, and much more.

I will of course be engaging on Indymedia - as always - and writing for Organise! publications etc. D
