A Palestinian Philosopher and a Jewish Author.

The Catalonia prize is rather like a stepping stone to a Nobel or at least a comiseration, in international prize land, it's like the Irish Order of Constantine and St George that Bertie got, except much better.

For their unstinting work in promoting Pacifism yesterday the international day of Jewish indentity, accepted the 2004 prize.

from their joint speech:-

"both peoples were persecuted, discriminated against, killed en masse and colonised, so that now it values nothing to be in favour of one or the other for the moment has come to only be in favour of peace".

Their nominations for the award came from many different groups, and who concur with their understanding that though _Misery_, _Anger_ and _Sadness_ are "beneath the skin of both peoples",
only in primarily understanding the nature of these emotions will both Israeli and Palestinian peoples commence along the way to peace.
