Kathy Kelly is the co-founder of Voices in the Wildernes (US), an anti-sanctions organization based in Chicago, Illinois. At the beginning of July she was released from Pekin Federal Penitentiary after serving a three-month sentence for engaging in civil disobedience to protest the School of the Americas.
Michael Birmingham traveled to Iraq with Voices in the Wilderness in October 2002, and lived there until May 2004. He was previously based in Dublin, where he was heavily involved in campaigning against the UN-imposed sanctions against Iraq.
