But then again, while we're on the subject of wrong categories, since when was murdering David Caldwell or 29 civilians in Omagh, the type of action that would earn the perpetrators political status?

This is in support of the prisoners who have been convicted by special courts and given special sentences under special laws after being arrested under special legislation by special police.

They are entitled to Special Status.

They've earned that at least.

They have been singled out for discriminatory treatment because of the organisations thay are supposed by some to belong to. As such they deserve some recognition of status. It just sticks in my throat to support an action that dignifies the activities of these micro-groups as "political".

Even you are entitled to that, Seanin.

The special criminal court system and associated laws are a sham. It would be more honest if these people were interned, although then the government wouldn't be able to put a veneer of justice on their actions for the gullible masses.

the special criminal court require the oireachtas legislate for their establishment.i'm not in favour of the courts(look at the irish council for civil librerties website)but they are only established when it is felt by an elected institution that a regular court would be inadequate.they are the result of violence and subversion which affects the innocent(and sometimes kills them)so if there was no ira violence i don't think they would even exist.

democracy must be destroyed in order to protect it.

do not all democracies have prisons?i don't think an organisation which kills innocent children and is supposed to be fighting for a people the majority of whom don't agree with them know alot about democracy.as i said before i'm not in favour of the special criminal court and was just pointing out that it isn't entirely a judicial process.my simple point was that no violence equals no court and who doesn't that benefit?

hmmm.
That all just goes to prove how "special" Ireland is ¿no?
I think the biggest problem with Ireland is that most people there don't realise how "special" the place is.
And that leads to people doing "special" things.

{Mammy! what does "special" mean?
You're special.
Am I?
Yes. we all are.}

Very good, I don't support the dissidents but i'm all for harassing the snobby brits at every possible opportunity.

That sort of thinking is so 19th century.

Don;t give this RIRA/CIRA scum any dupport whatsoever, the only thing special about them is their special stupidity and specailly evil crimes. The victims of Omagh didn't get any special treatment, not even a fucking warning.
