JUSTICE FOR MARIAN PRICE
Marian Price had previously served a long jail sentence in England and the North of Ireland and was released and pardoned due to ill-health after being force-fed 400 time in England during the 1970s. She was re-arrested in May 2011 by order of Owen Patterson (unelected British secretary of state in the north) who claimed to revoke her licence. The Public Prosecution Service now say that the pardon has been shredded. This amounts to internment once again in the north.
For the whole time of her enforced internment Marian has been held in solitary confinement in breach of human rights directives. She was the only woman in a male prison in Maghaberry Jail and is now again in solitary confinement in the Hospital Wing of Hydebank prison, Belfast, where she remains extremely ill.
Marian Price is the victim of psychological torture, internment without trial and political vindictiveness.
